OUR COMMITMENT
TO THE CLIMATE AGENDA
Our commitment to the climate agenda is a central part of our strategy and reflects the growing importance of sustainability issues to our stakeholders. We recognize that these matters significantly influence how we conduct our business, and for this reason, we have adopted a clear approach to identifying risks, seizing opportunities, and mobilizing our operations in a sustainable manner.
Our strategy drives us to generate a positive and real impact on the economy and society. We aim to be a reference in our sector and promote progress toward a Net-Zero economy. As providers of insurance services, our role is intrinsically linked to risk management, mitigating climate challenges, and capturing opportunities that drive this transformation.
We understand the urgency of climate change and actively collaborate with various agents to drive decarbonization and mitigate environmental impacts. We use our resources, expertise, and influence to foster this agenda and commit to achieving net-zero emissions in our operations and proprietary investment portfolio by 2050.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond environmental issues. We believe businesses thrive only in an equitable and resilient society. Therefore, we support initiatives that promote inclusion and social development. Locally, we partner with ABA – the Allianz Group Employees’ Charity Association, which for three decades has supported children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly through socio-educational activities in various areas such as ballet, visual arts, sports, programming, and digital culture. Over its history, this initiative has benefited about 10,000 people, reinforcing our commitment to positive social impact.
Governance is another fundamental pillar of our sustainability strategy. We carefully manage these issues to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities. Globally, we are integrated into the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) and follow the guidelines of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). In Brazil, we comply with the requirements of SUSEP Circular 666, reaffirming our commitment to best regulatory and market practices.
Our commitment to the climate agenda is continuous and integrated into our business model. We keep working to drive a more sustainable economy, strengthen our resilience, and actively contribute to a more balanced future for the coming generations.
