With 27 years of operation in Brazil, Prudential do Brasil is the largest independent insurer in the country’s personal insurance segment, offering customized life insurance solutions for individuals, groups, and mass markets. Currently, it protects 5.6 million lives and has returned R$ 4.4 billion in benefits paid to society. The insurer is part of Prudential Financial, a global leader in financial services and one of the world’s foremost investment managers, with approximately US$ 1.5 trillion in assets under management.
The company aligns with CNseg’s guidelines and actively participates in sector discussions in a constructive manner, committed to building a more resilient future for all. We reaffirm our commitment to sustainability by placing the impacts of climate change on people’s lives—especially in aspects such as health, safety, and financial stability—at the center of our discussions.
COP 30 will mark a milestone in the global climate agenda, and for Prudential do Brasil, this debate is necessary and urgent. Climate change is not only an environmental challenge but a factor that directly affects people’s longevity, health, and financial security. Floods, wildfires, and heatwaves—events increasingly frequent worldwide—put thousands of people at risk. As a life insurer, our mission is to protect and care for people at all times.
Through coordinated sectoral action, we will participate in COP 30, from November 10 to 21, in Belém do Pará. We will be present at Casa do Seguro, in partnership with CNseg and alongside other insurers, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability.
We want to be an active part of the debate to promote a more robust protection model in the face of climate challenges. This includes encouraging awareness of the impacts of the climate crisis on health and longevity, contributing solutions that ensure a more resilient future for individuals, families, and society.
We value CNseg’s initiative, which has mobilized and engaged the entire sector. This united effort is essential to ensure that more people have access to the protection solutions necessary to face present and future challenges.
OUR COMMITMENT
TO THE CLIMATE AGENDA
We recognize that climate change poses significant risks to health, longevity, and the well-being of the population, disproportionately affecting socially vulnerable groups. This context reinforces the importance of integrating sustainability into our business strategy, connecting financial protection with the promotion of life. As life insurance specialists, we are responsible for actions that promote sustainable development, care for people, and generate long-term social value.
Every year, we conduct a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory from our operations, following recognized methodologies aligned with the GHG Protocol guidelines. Additionally, we perform periodic reviews of our systems and processes, focusing on the continuous mitigation of the environmental impacts of our activities.
Our commitment to sustainability is cross-cutting and guides our strategic decisions, aiming to contribute to a more equitable and environmentally responsible society.
